The night before in Portland the special guest was a funny comic named Richard Bain, who said he started out in Raleigh. I wondered if you know him or remember him.

I really am just floored that not only did you get to meet Brian Regan, but he did a guest spot on YOUR show, and then you got to hang out with him. That is just way too cool.

I saw him last year here in Durham. I got 3rd row seats at the DPAC, and he was just the best. He did a bit about getting his hearing checked that had me in tears. He is without a doubt one of the greatest of all time, and how awesome for you and the other beards to get to hang out like that.

I’ve watched and listened to him hundreds of times over the years. He’s one of the comedians I worry about doing an accidental impression of on stage since I always think of him when trying to be illustrative of “the guy who doesn’t get it.” I’m so glad to hear that he really is as awesome as I’d hoped he would be in person.
